De muziekstijl van deze Utrechtse rockers is langzaam aan het verschuiven. Op de vorige langspeler "FreakyDeakyDutch" stond punkrock nog centraal, terwijl op deze vierde plaat de americana duidelijk zijn intrede heeft gedaan. Dit levert een afwisselend, maar enigszins onsamenhangend album op. Na de korte en snelle opener "All In" is het tweede nummer even schrikken. Carrera geeft met "Ten Years" een soort natte billen ode aan zichzelf. Halverwege de plaat daalt het tempo drastisch met de cover "Tupelo County Jail" en het gezellige "Today I Sold My Soul To Satan". Vervolgens gaat het tempo weer omhoog met de lekkere rock & roll van "Pretty Itch". Met nieuwe bassist Gino van der Hoek en het eigen label FreakyDeakyDutch Records is Carrera duidelijk op zoek naar een eigen geluid. Wat mij betreft mogen ze het tempo er goed inhouden en zoetsappige liedjes als "I Don't Want To Work Anymore" links laten liggen. Rob van Kaam.

The music style of these Utrecht rockers is slowly changing. On the previous LP "FreakyDeakyDutch" punkrock was still central, while on this fourth album the americana has been introduced. This renders a pluriform, yet somewhat incoherent album. After the short and fast opener "All In" the second song is kind of a scare. With "Ten Years", Carrera brings a kind of wet bum ode to itself. Halfway the album decreases tempo drastically with the cover "Tupelo County Jail" en the cosy "Today I Sold My Soul To Satan". Further on the tempo goes back up with the tasty rock & roll of "Pretty Itch". With new bassist Gino van der Hoek and their own label label FreakyDeakyDutch Records, Carrera is clearly looking for their own sound. According to me they should hold the tempo and leave sugercoated songs as "I Don't Want To Work Anymore" behind. Rob van Kaam.
