August 23, 2007 Amsterdam, Netherlands Melkweg We've played the Melkweg a billion times before, so when we pull up, it feels comfortable. The club has always been a nice one in general, but they done some remodeling inside and it looks a thousand times better. A bigger stage, more lights, and a lot more room for the crowd. It will be a fun show I think. The opening band tonight was a last minute find by the promoter. They're called Carrera and I had fun watching them. They have a song called "Freaky Deaky Dutch" which is full of all the funny things about the Netherlands (clog wearing, tulip growing, windmill having, pot smoking... you get the picture). It just made me laugh. Our show was good considering how much of a mess things were today. We flew in this morning, everyone is tired and we've got a ton of new gear to set up and get working properly. I have to hand it to the crew, they pulled it off pretty well. People threw a lot of cups tonight and they were the hard plastic kind and Evil got popped in the eye with one which caused him to bleed all over himself. It was gross, but looked cool. Overall, the show wasn't too bad, all things considered.
